Goldy aka Jewels’ Update

Posted on: Monday July 25

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 1 year since I adopted Goldy.  She is such a perfect fit and gets along great with my 2 cats.  Thanks so much for rescuing and fostering her so I could bring her into my life.  Here are some pictures.

Rebel aka Tommy’s Update

Posted on: Sunday July 24

We adopted Tommy, now Rebel, on Halloween last year. He recently celebrated his 1st birthday, and is a wonderful addition to our family!  He was a little shy at first, but is now a curious pup and loves to make friends with all the neighborhood dogs.  He finished obedience training and will sit patiently and wait for treats (especially if it s peanut butter!).  His favorite things to do are, run around the park, play tug of war, and snuggle!  He had a sister who was also adopted from LDCF and we hope she is doing just as great as her brother!  Thank you LDCF for our sweet pup!

Squirt aka Deborah’s Update

Posted on: Friday July 22

Oh my! We couldn’t be happier. We have decided to call her Squirt. We have a Squishy so it follows. The pup playing with her in the pictures is Roux, our 1 year old, and the reason we were looking for a youngster. All our other dogs are so much older. Murphy is 13 and not doing well She and my husband decided to take a nap together one day. How cute!

She has already been to the vet. She had some parasites which we are taking care of and a cold, I am not sure what it is called. She had 103 temp but she is doing better now. We are trying to work out the shots but she has to be stronger. She is so fragile. Well, also very brave. She is so funny.

She has her tags on her new collar. I think they weigh more than she does.

Thank you so much for letting us take care of this little one. She fits in perfectly with our group.

Moxie aka Flo’s Update

Posted on: Friday July 22

Hi. Flo is now Moxie and she is awesome. After a week of boundary setting, Moxie and our older dog are BFFs. We’re working on house training. She’s been to the vet, twice. First time was for a check up and second time was for a UTI and kennel cough. She’s better now. We love her!!!

Peter’s Update

Posted on: Monday July 18

image1Peter is doing well (he is currently cuddled up to me watching tv). He didn’t know how to use the stairs at first but he now has them mastered. He seems to be housebroken (no accidents), but did not know how to use a doggy door which he has also mastered. He is very smart and such a cuddler!!
We’ve already been to the vet, a few issues but nothing that can’t be treated. He has allergies (poor baby) but a change in his food and some Benadryl seems to be helping. He also needs to have his 4 front teeth removed as there are only remnants left of them (poor Peter puppy! I don’t even want to think about how that might have happened). He will be all fixed up soon!
He loves his “sister” chi chi…it’s cute watching him taking “cues” from her trying to learn new things.
He’s such a good boy! I can’t believe he was ever a stray or worse! He is just the sweetest most gentle puppy! He’s very friendly with other dogs which is helping chi chi who is afraid of bigger dogs.
I’m sure I’ve rambled enough, but there are just so many good things to say about our Peter Pan Puppy.
Thanks for checking in, Peter is happy and healthy.

Gala’s Update

Posted on: Wednesday July 13

Gala is amazing. We are so happy to have added her to our family. We are in love! She had her first vet appt and all went well.  The adoption process was so great, I’m telling everyone about it! Here are a few more potos of her!”

Milton aka Harold’s Update

Posted on: Thursday July 7

Harold, now known as Milton, is doing wonderfully. He’s been to our vet twice already (once for his initial visit, to get antibiotics for a small cough he came home with from the adoption event with, and a biopsy on a suspicious bump, which was benign and disappeared with the antibiotics) and once for his Rabies vaccination. We’ll be back for his 16 weeks shots in a few weeks!

He is doing wonderfully and is already potty trained and leash walking like a pro! He knows his name and the command “sit” and is learning to play fetch. He’s so smart!! He’s the sweetest dog and I couldn’t be happier to have him in my life. I’m utterly in love with my new furry sidekick.

I’ve got his collar tag on and have gotten him my own “Milton” tag with my information as well as his rabies tag. I’ve attached some pictures here of him at home and from his first vet visit.

Thank you for bringing Milton to me – he’s the biggest blessing and my new best friend!
