Hershey’s Update

Posted on: Wednesday May 31

Hi there!
IMG_2258 IMG_2247
Wanted to drop a line on how Hershey is doing.

“Since his adoption, Hershey has settled into his new home perfectly. His family absolutely loves him and is so happy to have him in their lives. Ever the gentleman, Hershey is a calm and collected pup who also knows when to have fun. We’ve discovered his past-times include a whole lot of chewing—Hershey LOVES his chew toys, an electric guitar is among his favorites. Thank you to Lost Dog Rescue for caring for Hershey until he found his forever home.”

I’ve attached some pictures! Hershey loves a good car ride, although he’s not happy when I put on his dog seatbelt… Safety first!!!

Thanks again!

Hachi aka Blackbeard’s Update

Posted on: Thursday May 18

Hachi aka Black Beard is doing wonderful. He settled in immediately. My son and I felt like we had him since he was born.  Vet report is great. Hachi has some worms but is on medication so he should be good soon. My son and I are so happy with Hachi. He is a big puppy when it comes to cuddling. Great watchdog at night. Loves people.
I have enclosed some pics for you.
Thank you for checking up,on our Hachi aka Blackbeard.

Daisy (Tabs) is doing great! She is healthy and is fitting into our family perfectly. Our other dog Lola welcomed her with open paws and we could not have asked for a better fitting dog. They are inseparable! We truly love her!

Tom aka Mickey’s Update

Posted on: Tuesday May 16

My oh my! Mickey is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He has saved me and I (with y’alls help) have saved him! He is the perfect combo of loving and playful, and is very curious. He loves his Da Bird, Cat Condo, and his Cat Nip mouse, and he never EVER leaves my side. He likes to be in the middle of everything- cleaning, getting dressed, cooking, etc. He also LOVES people! He is very social. As soon as you walk in he will rub up against you, meowing, introducing himself. I also love how much a lover he is! He goes to sleep with me every night at my bed, and lays right next to me in my arms. The best part is, I’ll wake up in the morning and he’s still right there :) I’m so thankful for my little partner in crime and my loverboy. He needs me as much as I need him :)

China’s Update

We decided it was time to adopt a 3rd dog, and wanted to adopt one that might have a little more trouble being adopted (age, special needs, etc.).  Luckily we were  adopted by China, an 11 year old golden retriever. She is a real love and has seamlessly fit into our family of 2 other dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys romps with the other dogs before settling in for a nice long nap. Please consider adopting an older dog – they will appreciate it and love you all the more for it!

Astro’s Update

Astro is doing great. He’s really starting to settle in and get comfortable. He’s been great with our cat and is starting to become a full-fledged member of the family.  I’m attaching a couple of photos from the past two weeks: Astro lounging on his bed and another from a hike along the Potomac at Seneca Regional Park.  We really love the little guy!

Kali aka Mitzy’s Update

Posted on: Monday May 1

Mitzy is doing great, she now has the name Kali. She’s been to the vets, gotten her shots, and wears her LDCRF tag. She’s been a very fast learner, and loves just about everyone and everything. She got potty training down in only a week and enjoys learning new tricks. She’s really starting to settle in with the family and gets along with the rest of the family’s dogs.

I’ve attached a photo of her with one of her favorite things to chew on.
