Patches and Barcelona have had a hard life so far, to say the least. They were two of nearly 200 animals found at an overrun sanctuary in Alabama by the Humane Society of the US. The sanctuary was comprised of 22 acres of makeshift pens, old trailers, endless piles of trash and chained dogs, all waiting to get out. Barcelona and Patches have clearly spent a good part of their life together, as they are quite bonded and don’t like to be apart. Because of this, they do need to be placed together.

Patches is a bit more independent, and while she keeps an eye on Barcelona, she is clearly the leader of the two. Barcelona is more outgoing, but also the more dependent than Patches. She likes to be near Patches, and follow her lead. She’s got a sweet and gentle nature, and can’t wait for a home where she can get the love and attention she’s yearned for all these years.

They are both house trained and very calm, loving girls. They love other dogs and even get along with kitties, so they can be buddies with with everyone. They are super snuggly puppies and would love to keep your feet warm this winter! They love their people and will follow you anywhere you’ll let them. They ride well in the car and are always up for an adventure. They have good manners, are not barkers, and love to be brushed and petted. They promise to settle into their new home as a happy pair of lovable furry friends. Do you have space for two best friends forever?!
