Max is move-in ready! He is housetrained and knows lots of tricks. He is also affectionate, loves to play with his toys and is trustworthy to be left alone at home. Max is quite shy at our adoption events, so we do not recommend he go to a home with young children. He is fine with female dogs but he does not get along with other male dogs. Not only is Max an awesome dog, he comes with a history. As a puppy, Max and his littermates were found in a garbage bag floating down a river in Southwest Virginia. A group of campers heard the puppies cry and rescued them. The puppies were transferred to LDCRF shortly after, and all were quickly adopted. Max recently came back to us because his family has to move and he can’t go with them. He has been rescued twice now, and Max hopes this next time will be forever.
