This handsome (oh, so handsome) boy is a showstopper, a head-turner and a crowd pleaser. He is also housetrained, crate trained, playful with dogs, great with people and extremely silly. It's hard to say enough about what a great dog Matt Damon is to have in one's life. You might think a dog like this has it all, but our Matt has had some challenges. When a malnourished Matt was rescued from a county shelter, we noticed he didn't walk quite right. A visit to the orthopedic vet confirmed there were issues. Shockingly, the issues were with all four legs and each one needed surgery. We were incredibly fortunate to be able to raise the funds from generous donors to pay for all of Matt's surgeries and his rehab laser treatments. He is doing incredibly well and is totally ready to find his new family. He is looking for a loving home (LOTS of love) that doesn't include too many stairs and does include canine socialization opportunites (he LOVES to play with dogs. Matt will settle in and be an amazing companion sleeping at your feet when he is tired, and eager to join in on any adventure. She came to us from a local shelter and was so happy to be in her new foster home, all she did was wiggle and smile for hours! She has a boxer-like energy level (which means there’s plenty to go around!) and loves to play or go on walks and explore. Status: Available with foster Good With Kids: No Good With Cats: Not Yet Determined Good With Dogs: Yes When Peanut came to us, his back legs were twisted like pretzels. (Hang on. There's a good almost-ending.) His knees were severely bent, and he could only scoot on them. After four surgeries and lots of physical therapy from his foster, he has full use of his left rear leg and always improving use of his right rear leg. How's his behavior, you wonder? Starting with the basics, Peanut is housetrained and crate-trained already. He's a very sweet and loving dog with his people and is a wonderful snuggle companion. Peanut is shy and can be unsure with strangers. (An easy, gentle approach seems to work just fine with him, though.) He's understandably defensive about his legs, so he's not good with children. How about his personality? Peanut is quite the imp! He likes running (yes, running) in a fenced yard and playing with dog friends. He loves his favorite stuffed frog, ropey toy, and chew bones. This little rascal also enjoys burrowing under pillows, raiding laundry piles, and emptying closets of as many shoes as he can. This cutie is going to make you smile! Yes, Peanut has come so far, but it's still just an almost-ending. It won't be a real happily-ever-after until Peanut has a home with you forever.
