Report Card for Bicardi (Birdie) as prepared by her foster human:
Communication: A+ Birdie greets her human with a small high-pitched chirp and she closes her eyes and lifts her head when receiving head scratches. She also has a bit of a growl when her sister Clio bugs her too much, but the claws never come out.
Cuddliness: B Birdie prefers to keep her feet on the floor, but happily will come lay up next to her human to watch TV together on the couch.
Grooming: A+ Birdie’s favorite activity is being brushed! She’ll stretch out and purr while you brush her. If the brush is left in front of her, she’ll nuzzle against it and brush herself.
House manners: A+ Such a polite cat! There are no issues with Birdie jumping anywhere or poking her head where she shouldn’t be, and she likes to scratch and sleep on her corrugated cardboard cat scratcher.
Playfulness: B As a mature cat, Birdie prefers a slower level of play, batting at her mouse on a wire while still laying down.
Appetite: A Birdie and her sister Clio were adopted from LDCRF 10 years ago, but their human parents passed away. We suspect that, like many of us, she ate to compensate for her losses and is now indeed full figured. But she is shedding the weight while she looks for her next forever home — and unlike those of us who get cranky on a diet, she remains just the sweetest, gentlest kitty.
