There once was a girl named Gidget.
Who loves to squiddle* and fidget.
Her fur is orange and her heart is gold.
Hearing her squeak never gets old!
She runs through the house and jumps in the air.
Tackling her brothers without a care.
Cute as a button, sweet as pie.
We love her so much, now you all know why!
*squiddle- (verb) to squirm and cuddle at the same time! 🙂
It’s hard to sum Gidget up in a few words- she packs a ton of personality into her tiny frame! She is silly, sweet, energetic, curious, and super excited about life! She was extremely shy when she first came to LDCRF as a hurricane evacuee from North Carolina. After a few weeks in foster care though, she blossomed into an incredibly goofy, brave, and friendly little lady. She loves her foster parents- seeking out attention, pets, and extra treats. But- as much as she loves her people- she loves her feline friends even more! Gidget absolutely thrives on cat-centric companionship. She is very good at reading other cats and convincing them they want to play with her. Because she loves feline friends so much, she will need to go to a home with another cat. She would also do really well in a multi-cat household and would likely do well with a cat-friendly dog. While she has shown curiosity about kids, she can be a little over-exuberant during playtime, so tiny humans are not the best match for her.
