Yes Learn MoreDo lilacs bloom in North Carolina? Our Lilak did until she and her four kittens were evacuated with hurricane Florence pouring in right behind them. In spite of all the stress that an emergency rescue can create in kitties, Lilak settled down quickly and showed what a loving little lady she is. She is the perfect combination of spunky and sweet. Some might consider her a “dog cat”- she has more traits similar to a dog than cat (for example, she will follow you everywhere). She will lash her tail with happiness, and chase it around in circles while kicking herself in the face. You can check it out on the video: it’s hilarious to watch! She is crazy for catnip and loves chasing the laser pointer. But she is also content to watch the world out a window, or to interrupt whatever you’re doing by placing herself on your lap or shoulders for snuggles. If you are looking for a cat that wants to be involved in EVERYTHING you are doing, she’s the one! Doing dishes, laundry, watching a movie; she just wants to be included. Just make sure the movie has some movement for her to watch — you can see in the video she likes to move with the action! She has been living in a small apartment with an older dog, and can sometimes be playful with him, but typically she just bosses him around and steers clear. Petite, and persistent for your attention, Lilak has shown how adaptable a kitty can be, and would love the chance to belong in a forever home.
