Bamak is truly one of the most gentle and loving dogs you will ever meet. Her demeanor is all the more inspiring once you learn the story behind her name.
We are told that “Bamak” translates to “house roof” in Iran, where she lived before making the long plane ride to Lost Dog Rescue outside Washington, D.C.
While in Iran, Bamak was trapped on a roof for a long time due to a drug-addicted owner. She managed to survive with the little amount of water available to drink. Fortunately, a female student finally found Bamak and nursed her back to health. The student saved money to send her to a better place, “wishing health and happiness for Bamak.”
So now Bamak is looking for her forever home here in America. Despite everything she’s endured, Bamak is always friendly with new people and will even offer her paw as if she wants to shake hands. And while Bamak can come across as a little shy at first, she loves going out for walks and happily soaks up all your affection. She is a perfect angel on the leash and doesn’t seem to be bothered by other dogs.
Bamak won’t just give you unconditional love every day. She’ll also inspire you with her sweet and resilient nature. Make yourself a part of Bamak’s happy ending today!
