Yes Learn MoreBrownie arrived to Lost Dog all the way from Iran to fulfill her professional calling as Quality Nap Tester of all the comfy things.
In her foster home, she’s tested each dog bed and found the softest spots in all rugs. She would do very well in a home with a fenced yard, as her initial testing revealed that piles of fall leaves also make for great nap spots, with the added bonus of easy access to cool sticks to chew. She loves cuddling with you, her dog sibling, and receiving pets and belly rubs during her Quality Nap tests.
Brownie can be reserved with strangers and nervous about new sounds, so a duplex or single family home would be the best environment for her. She’s more confident with a dog sibling who can let her know that there’s nothing to be nervous about and that strangers are just friends you haven’t made yet. Brownie loves playing with her foster home dog sister and pretty much all toys.
Because Brownie doesn’t have external ears, she needs to have her ears gently cleaned every few days, but she’s happy to get this extra cuddle time with you. For treats, praise, and belly rubs, she’ll let you trim her nails and give her a bath to fluff up her already soft fur.
She’s treat motivated and learns quickly with clicker training, and happily goes into a crate with a comfy mat and some chew toys. She’s learned “sit,” “in” to go into her crate, and is working on “leave it.” She’d like you to know that if she’s in a comfy spot, she’d really prefer to nap than go for a walk and she’d rather nap out that nice pile of leaves on the trail than hike for hours.
Although she’s working on her puppy nipping and redirecting her puppy energy with chew toys, with her height, she right now may be too much for young children.
In short, do you want a smart, equal parts honey-eyed buddy who will be happy to play and even happier to cuddle up with you and nap? Brownie is your girl.
