“Chester is a gem of a dog and already a favorite in my neighborhood,” his foster mom tells us. “He greets every ‘Hi Chester!’ with his fiercely wagging stumpy tail and sloppy kisses on his morning walk.” His easygoing personality, love of cuddles and ambling walks make him a wonderful addition to the household. He is always waiting with a happy greeting at the door when his foster family gets home.
Chester is house-trained and can be trusted while left alone in the home for hours at a time. His foster family says that he doesn’t need to be crated while they are at work. He spends his day napping (lots of napping!) and enjoying his antler bone. He is also good on a leash and knows “sit,” “come,” and “lay down.” He is very loving and loyal, and is used to sleeping in his owner’s bed every night.
Chester is not a big fan of loud noises and takes some medication for anxiety as well as for some muscle pain, but it’s all manageable with such a mellow guy! He’s a good eater and takes his meds easily.
If you need a steadying presence in these uncertain times, look no further. Chester may not be essential hospital personnel, but he has a very prestigious MD (master of dogging) and has been practicing for years. He will fit in seamlessly with your social-distancing routine, encouraging you to kick back and relax at home, while making sure you stop to smell the flowers during your neighborhood walks. He has impeccable house manners and he will do his best to try not to snore in the background of your zoom meetings.
Chester just wants someone to love, so if you are looking for a loving couch potato and, like, maximum chill – look no further!
