Irvin came to us from a neglect situation in Mississippi as part of our Operation New Beginnings. He is a very kind and gentle dog but seems to not have been around people or lived in a home before. Although still skittish he responds to his name and will follow his foster mom all around the house. He is working on house-training and using pee pads but its slow progress. He has mastered going up the stairs on the deck and is working on coming down them. He has some issues with dry skin and hair loss but that is resolving. He gets along with other dogs his size. Irvin is not a snuggly lap dog, but he is a great companion dog. Irvin would probably do best if there were another dog in the home with him so that he could learn form the other dog.
