This fun lady is a volunteer favorite! We’re all in love with her, and want her to live her best life in a permanent home. Will it be yours?
Lady Bird’s middle name should be “Polite.” She calmly makes your acquaintance, and is very gentle with treats and people-playtime. She is also super smart and attentive, knows all the basic commands, and is perfectly housetrained. She’s an easy fast walker, and doesn’t mind when bicycles, strollers, joggers, or other leashed dogs pass on the trail.
Her favorite thing might be the toy box, because she adores stuffed toys. You know you’re in her inner circle when she brings you toy after toy while she parades around proudly wiggling her whole body. Maybe with a little work, this smart girl could be taught to put her toys away?
This girl would love an active human to call her own, and will be your best buddy for hiking, running, or long walks in the rain. Once Lady Bird learns you’re on her team, her playful side will emerge, and she’ll prove her love by curling her whole body into you and giving you the best doggy kisses. And when you’re ready to relax, she’ll happily snuggle on the sofa next to you, or entertain herself on her own bed — this girl has an independent streak, and will lie by herself when she’s ready for “me” time.
Lady Bird is extremely loyal and can be protective, so this lovable girl would be perfect for an experienced family with older kids who can help guide her, or an active adult-only home.
