Don’t let his name fool you! Old Dan is just 3 years old, but can you really have a Coonhound without “old” in their name?
He is the SWEETEST boy who is very affectionate and thinks he’s a lapdog. His tail wags non-stop. His foster family calls him Mr. Enthusiastic because he is ready to go as soon as he wakes up. He’s very excited in the mornings and evenings, but after a good walk and a meal he settles down.
Old Dan is great with kids (9 and 12 in his foster home) and hardly ever barks. He’s also fully housebroken. He seems to be VERY food motivated and is learning some basic commands. He picked up “Sit” pretty quickly with some treats, and is working on “Down” and “Off.”
He’s great on the leash and doesn’t pull or tug too much. However, he can get mouthy when playing or cuddling and would likely do best in a home with children who are past toddler age. He loves his plushy toys — the bigger the better!
Old Dan is very clear about his favorite human – it’s YOU. Come meet this boy today!
