Hank is a wonderful fully-grown, puppy-like 20lb. terrier who just wants to be loved. He was returned to Lost Dog because he can not be left alone without howling and barking. In the foster’s home, he has two other dogs to keep him company and is fine. He spends his day sleeping with them on the bed. He does not like to be crated and will howl and cry if contained even behind a baby gate unless you are in the room with him.
When company arrives, he warms right up to women and girls and is a bit stand-offish to men and boys. He will warm up to them eventually. He snuggled in bed with his foster dad after a few days.
Hank needs someone to work on housebreaking and training on house etiquette like staying off of tables. A perfect owner would have another dog and be able to spend time on training. Puppy proofing your house is a must as he likes climbing, carrying around your shoes and shredding tissue boxes.
He keeps himself busy in the evening chewing on bones. Hank will be a wonderful “pack member.”
