Yes Learn MoreTasha is a wonderful senior dog, with special needs. Her health is being managed, and she is such a lovely dog. A former Lost Dog, she was surrendered when her person could no longer care for her. (One great thing about Lost Dog is that we always take our animals back. Once a Lost Dog or Cat, always a Lost Dog or Cat!).
Tasha is 12 years old, soft and fluffy. She is a Chow mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Her foster says that Tasha is a perfect companion dog. She quickly attaches to her person and just wants to be with that person. She takes a while to warm up to new people. In fact, her foster frames it that she is selective in who can pet her. But once you are one of her people, you are golden! Like her beautiful coat.
Tasha has severe separation anxiety, with consistency, kindness, and patience she has gotten better. She prefers being near her people. She is not destructive or anything like that. She just gets stressed. She can be left for a couple of hours up to several (8) hours on occasion.
Tasha is house trained. Her record indicates that she does not like crates. Tasha does well in the car although she stands the entire time. She loves to go for walks. She likes the cooler weather and enjoys being outside. She is usually always nearby. She doesn’t get up on furniture. Tasha prefers sleeping on a rug over a dog bed. She likes other dogs. In time, she is the boss of other dogs, like most female dogs.
Tasha needs a home where people are home much of the time and the children are older, in their teens.
