In October of 2015, I adopted Sergio. He was a Schnauzer/Poodle mix. He was picked up as a stray. No one at Lost Dog knew much about him. The first time I saw him, he did not look so good and he wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I ended up not taking him home that day. A few weeks later I went back on the site and saw he had been given to a foster family. I contacted the foster woman and she told me that he was a wonderful dog. He was cuddly, affectionate and loved to sleep in bed with her. That made my mind up and I ended up adopting him a week or two later. He changed my whole life. He was attached to me like glue and I loved every minute of it. He kissed me like there was no tomorrow. Unfortunately, on March 30, 2018 I had to put Sergio down due to a collapsed disc that turned into something so painful that I could not watch him suffer. Surgery was not an option as my vet thought he was at least 12 or 13. I was devastated to say the least. I am now just starting to think about adopting another one. It’s a very hard decision. Sergio was the love of my life and I probably will never find another like him. Attached are some photos I took of him.
