Kitty is doing very well, we’ve since named her Josie. She’s up to about 30 pounds now and she’s almost done with her shots. She seems to be a very athletic dog, so I try to take her on long walks and play with her at the park as much as I can. She’s been doing well with house-training and is pretty well-behaved. My parents and I take turns watching her for the day during the week since I work at the office part of the week (I take care of her when I work from home, and my mom takes care of her when I work at the office) so she is never left alone for very long. She also spends time with her sister Maddie (Lydia) every week.
The only issues so far was that Josie had some sort of skin irritation that caused her to itch a lot and she was diagnosed with intestinal worms. The skin irritation went away after bathing her with medicated oatmeal shampoo and after a few vet visits she was treated for the worms and I am expecting the test results back any day now. Josie also had kennel cough when I first got her and I took her to the vet right away, but that ended up going away on its own.
We love Josie and couldn’t be happier with her.
