Things are going great with Max (he’s now named Toaster, because he’s brave and little, haha). Attached are some pictures, and while not totally conventional, if you wish to ever check in on his journey, he has an Instagram account, @jonathantaylortabby.For such a shy guy, he’s really coming out of his shell and a lot faster than I expected. I even vacuumed the other day and just 5 minutes after putting it away, he was out and about again, not hiding! He’s still very tentative when guests come over, and can be shy for a while after they leave, but I think we’ve been striking a good balance between comfort and challenge. He has a hiding spot where I think he feels safe when he’s nervous about “strangers” being over, and has occasioned to poke his head out to check on things, and even has played with one of my friends. All the other things one could qualify a transition by are great: no accidents, solid stools, eating regularly, sleeping well, and having play sessions/toys around for activity. Let me know what I’ve missed, but that’s all to say things are going well and I’m so happy!
