Hi Lost Dog and Cat Rescue,
We adopted Alice a little over a month ago from a LDCRF event and she has been a wonderful addition to our family! We decided to rename her “Yuki,” which means snow in Japanese, after her white legs and feet. We didn’t expected her to get much bigger but she’s probably put on a pound or two since we brought her home, so she’s not quite as petite as she was when we first met her.
That said, she still acts like a kitten sometimes. She has a ton of energy and can’t get enough playtime. She especially loves her purple mouse, which she takes everywhere (including to bed)! She loves to bring it to our feet and will meow, mew, and chirp at us until we play fetch with her. She also loves to zoom around our place chasing after lasers, ribbons, or other toys. We think that she is by far the fastest cat we’ve ever met.
Despite her energy, she is the consummate lap kitty. Anytime we sit down on the couch, she comes running and jumps right into our laps, expecting lots of attention and even more ear rubs. In her calmer moments she like to monitor the fish tank, squeeze into nooks to hide, and curl up in her bed after a long day of running around. She has been a great addition to the family!
